Hi everyone,

February is about to end. We have about five days left. Yipee!!

Who’s excited? Who isn’t? Who slayed their February goals? Who didn’t?

We’re almost in the third month of the year, one quarter almost gone. I can’t believe it myself.

Pain can be sweet my dear friends. I never knew I would be able to say this without flinching or crying or having an emotional  moment. Instead, I’m smiling as I write this. For the one who wants to give up, for the one who doesn’t understand the process they’re in and can’t wait for it to be over. THERE’S PURPOSE IN PAIN!!

Last year, I came across Lauren Daigle on Instagram. A big sister shared the lyrics of the song and I was like woow. I had to have this song. a little while after then, a friend sent the entire album to me. The season I was in then needed that album. Like, no other album trumps Hillsong worship in my life(I’ve been listening to Hillsong since I was six, thanks to my mum). Surprisingly in that season that I was in, nothing beat Lauren Daigle’s “How can it be”. Every song matched what I was feeling and going through. the album didn’t match my pain but matched what my Spirit was saying despite my pain(declaring God as God despite what I was going through). I also reminded me that it was a phase and it would not last forever. Haven said this, I hope you go hunting for the album(Don’t worry, I might just share).

A few weeks after then, I was watching her receive an award on Youtube and she talked about how she wrote that album after her grandfather died. I smiled, a lone tear fell from my face. I understood why I could relate a lot with the album. We had both lost something.  I felt rejected, she felt left alone. From that dark place of pain came a beautiful album that has helped me and millions of other amazing people rise out of despair. I also wrote a song from my silent and painful season. I birthed many dreams in the pain phase. I accomplished a lot surprisingly because it’s only the right kind of pressure that can make diamonds come out and all the different stages of refining that makes gold beautiful.

What do you do with your pain? Who do you turn to when you are in pain? Do you know God has a purpose in the midst of your pain? Don’t let pain create something hard, bland and dark out of you. There’s beauty in pain, if only you can look beyond it.

I’ll share two songs that I think really emphasize waiting and pain- Hillsong’s “As it is in heaven” and “Seasons. Also, I recommend Lauren Daigle’s album “How can it be”.

I also stumbled on a blog post today and I think you should read it, it talks about failure. It really blessed me. you can read it here.

Would you share with me how God has used your pain for his good and made beauty out of it below?

Romans 8:18- For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Hey there,

I’ve talked so much about not rushing into February, if you follow me on social media you must have been tired of me. Lol. I can be a pest sometimes.

February is upon us and its another 28 days of making magic and its exactly four weeks. How hard will you push? Will you wait for this short month to end because of the paycheck or will you make it worth remembering by doing the right things and smashing the right goals?

Think deeply on these things.

January taught me a lot, let me share:

It was BEAUTIFIED. I smashed so many goals. I learnt to be LED and to obey promptly.  I learnt not to think less of myself. I learnt to come up fully into all that God has planned for me and be all he wants me to be.

It was A HUGE TRANSITIONING FOR ME. I moved and it was scary as I got lost sometimes and couldn’t find my way. Battery dead. No google map. Nobody cares. Individualistic environment. Thanks to the Holy Spirit, he’s legit the best navigator.

It was CHALLENGING. I started my blog, third post btw haha. I finally did my fashion line’s first photo shoot which you should watch out for (The Chayil Woman(TCW)). I faced my fear about modelling and got in front of a camera. Was introduced to an amazing graphics designer and CANVA (my new bestie) and they have just been amazing.

It was NETWORKING AND DIVINELY ORDAINED. I knew that there were heights that I wanted to reach this year, in diverse areas. I needed to find someone who was doing what I wanted to do and had achieved tremendous success in it because I knew that it was possible considering my many passions and I was led to Shanyi.

I have known Shanyi since 2015. I met her in Becoming 2.0 organised by my mama, Funto Ibuoye. I have been following her since then. There was a time last year when I was offline, so I guess I missed a lot of happenings in her life. Early this year, I stumbled on her blog and read all that she achieved last year. You can read it too here. I was like YASSS, this is what I’m talking about. Also, on her blog, I found a list of her 2018 goals and I’m like go girl!! You can also read that here.

I found her Whatsapp number after reading her other blog posts and sent her a message ASAP. She responded. It has been amazing ever since. We have not fully started the mentoring process but I’m fired up because I don’t want to be a lazy mentee. I want my mentor to be proud of me. SHANYI IS GOALS.

Yeah, so that’s it.

How did your January go, what goals did you smash and what are your plans for February?

Tell your friends to subscribe, February giveaway coming soon. I’m super excited.

Have a very chilled February guys,

Are you really sure you want January to end?

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here….yipppeeee!!!!

I’m glad that I’m finally doing this. So proud  of me.

Let’s get straight to our topic for today.

I’ve seen so many posts, comments and status updates complaining about the length of January, how it is the longest month ever, blah, blah, blah. It’s been really funny tho. It has also been thought provoking too. Just one quick question…

Are you done achieving all you set out to do this month? Do you want January to end because you need an excuse to stop all the fasts(lol)? Are you really fine with how far the first few weeks of the year have gone? Do you need another fresh start to begin your new year resolutions AGAIN? Why Why Why? or the most ironic reason of them all, do you somehow believe that “better” things are ahead of you when you have not put any effort into ensuring that those “better” things come your way??

I really need to know why we want the month to end quickly, like seriously. I’m one for taking things as they come, planning, strategizing, executing plans, sometimes the hours fly so fast and I’m like January don’t go. I hadn’t written my first blog post for the year so January cannot end yet ooh.

This is for you.

Think on these things.

Eccl 3:1- For everything there is a time and a season of activity under heaven.

Don’t rush the process.

From Daddy’s heart to you,

Heading out of January like….
